Relationship To Apple's Standard EULA
If Arclune is distributed through the Apple App Store and no custom license agreement is configured in App Store Connect, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app. These Arclune Terms and Use Restrictions add product-specific notices and restrictions to the extent allowed by Apple's terms and applicable law.
Permitted Use
Arclune may be used as an informational airport distance, route visualization, local route storage, and assumption-based estimate tool. You may use it to understand routes, not plan flights: explore airport-to-airport distances, visualize great-circle routes, compare how stops or local route-shape points change distance and estimated time, and create non-operational route summaries.
Prohibited And Unsafe Use
Do not use Arclune for navigation, operational flight planning, dispatch, fuel planning, performance planning, airport suitability, alternate planning, weather decisions, NOTAM decisions, airspace decisions, legal/regulatory compliance, emergency services, autonomous control, or safety-critical decisions.
Do not use Arclune to determine whether a flight is legal, safe, economical, dispatchable, operationally possible, or should go ahead. Do not use it as a replacement for official aviation sources, approved navigation databases, certified avionics, air traffic control, operator manuals, professional flight planning systems, or qualified professional judgment.
Informational Nature Of Outputs
Distances, route lines, map views, route-shape points, time estimates, aircraft assumptions, wind context, airport data, and shared/exported route summaries may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, non-operational, or unsuitable for a specific real-world purpose.
Time estimates are not operational flight times, flight plans, schedule promises, dispatch calculations, fuel calculations, or planning bases.
Great-circle distance is a geometric measure. It is not an airway route, filed flight route, ATC route, terrain/obstacle clearance analysis, procedure analysis, weather route, fuel route, regulatory route, or certified operational calculation.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for how you interpret and use Arclune outputs. Verify all operational, legal, safety, airport, weather, aircraft, routing, navigation, regulatory, and commercial facts with official and appropriate sources before making decisions.
Data, Maps, Sharing, And Availability
Arclune uses bundled and normalized airport, aircraft, and typical seasonal wind-context data, plus Apple Maps / MapKit. These sources can contain errors, omissions, coordinate issues, naming issues, closed or non-operational facilities, outdated information, and map rendering limitations.
If you share text summaries or generated route-card images, you are responsible for the context in which they are used. Shared content remains informational only and must not be presented as a flight plan, dispatch release, navigation instruction, official document, certified calculation, or safety assessment.
Arclune may change, remove, or update features, bundled data, wording, assumptions, estimates, legal notices, and supported platforms. Map imagery and Apple system services may be unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, or changed by Apple or the operating system.
No Professional Advice
Arclune does not provide aviation, navigation, dispatch, meteorological, engineering, legal, tax, regulatory, safety, emergency, medical, financial, or professional advice.
Liability Limit
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is not allowed by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arclune and the provider are not liable for damages, losses, claims, costs, or consequences arising from prohibited/unsafe use, reliance on informational outputs, incomplete or outdated data, or third-party/platform services outside the provider's control.
For users in Germany or where comparable mandatory law applies: liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, mandatory product-liability claims, and guarantees expressly given. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breach of material contractual obligations and, in that case, to foreseeable and typical damages. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
